The Farmington defense also excelled with three sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery and four tackles for losses in the Falcon backfield.
Senior linebacker Adam Golab had three sacks for 33 yards and forced a fumble when he tackled SPGTs Kenny Byrd in the backfield.
"We came out with more intensity," Golab said. "We played hard, used our heads and were intense."
The 12 points allowed was a season-low for FHS.
Bliss dominated the first half, rushing for 224 yards and five TDs.
"Im very happy how we ran the ball," Farmington coach Jeff Bemis said. "Hes a tough back. Maybe I overused him a bit but when you gain over 7 yards a carry, you dont go away from that until he is stopped."
SPGT cut the lead to eight, 14-6, with 10 minutes left in the second quarter but Bliss scored TDs on Farmingtons next three possessions on runs of 21, 17 and 35 yards.
"I got some big holes," Bliss said. "The guys in the trenches got it done and made it easy. I barely got hit all night."
St. Paul got in position to score its first touchdown when Derek Chard recovered a fumble after Farmington QB Steve Harrington was hit in the backfield. Brent Seaver ran inside 19 yards to the two-yard line. On fourth-and-goal from the five, SPGT quarterback Jamel Greenlee scored on a naked bootleg.
That cut the Farmington lead to 14-6 with 10:00 left in the second quarter. But Farmington responded with three TDs from Bliss to take a 35-6 lead at the half. His blockers may have given him big holes but once he was in the open, it was Bliss who shifted to elude Falcons tacklers and break some attempted tackles.
On its first play of the second half, SPGT scored on a 74-yard pass down the right sideline from Kenny Byrd to Jamel Greenlee. It was the longest scoring pass since St. Paul began its co-op with Goodwin Tech in 2000.
"As a team, we played exceptionally well," SPGT coach Ben Lee said. "Farmington just overpowered us and outskilled us. It was probably the best game weve played this year."
Farmington kicker Ryan Dunn was 7-for-7 kicking extra points and added a 20-yard field goal for 10 points. Quarterback Steve Harrington was sharp passing the ball in the second quarter, completing three passes to Martin Jones for 75 yards.
NOTES: Former coach Joe Cerfaratti, now the head coach at Bulkeley, spoke in an emotional pre-game ceremony when the team retired No. 23 in honor of 2002 SPGT co-captain Rob Williams, 19, who was killed in an early-morning robbery last week. ..The previous co-op record for longest TD pass was 67 yards by Juan Hernandez from Rob Swanke against Plainville in 2003. ..Farmington has won nine of the last 10 games between the two schools but St. Paul still leads the overall series, 11-10-1.
